Town's U18s are in action against Leicester City at Playford Road on Saturday lunchtime (KO noon). The young Blues will be looking to extend their winning run having beaten MK Dons 2-0 at home last week via goals from Jack Ainsley and Matt Daniels.

Meanwhile, TWTD understands that West Ham have been keeping a close eye in academy schoolboy Connor Wickham. The Blues expect to secure the striker on a full-time scholarship next summer, but may face opposition from the Premier League side.

Earlier in the week, Wickham, 15, was named in the England U16 squad for the Sky Sports Victory Shield game with Northern Ireland in Ballymena on Friday 3rd October. The match will be shown live on Sky Sports One.
