Clarke Scores Again as Harding Sent Off - Ipswich Town News

Striker Billy Clarke netted the eighth goal of his loan spell with Darlington as the Quakers defeated Luton 2-1 at Kenilworth Road. Meanwhile, Dan Harding was sent off as Southend drew 1-1 at home to Stockport.

Clarke, who is with Darlo until January, netted the opening goal in the 15th minute of his 13th appearance for his loan club.

Harding was controversially red-carded for a challenge on Leon McSweeney in the 68th minute of their encounter against the Hatters at Roots Hall.

Shrimpers' boss Steve Tilson felt the decision was very harsh: "I want to see a video of the Harding red card, but I was not far away from where it happened.

"I was just five yards away and there was no intent, it was not a malicious tackle. In my point of view, I am really disappointed that he was sent off."

Elsewhere, Jordan Rhodes played 66 minutes for Rochdale as they drew 1-1 at Lincoln but failed to find the net in his fifth appearance for his loan side.

Liam Trotter played the full 90 minutes of his fifth game for loan side Grimsby as they drew 1-1 at home to Wycombe Wanderers.

Matt Richards and Brighton lost 3-1 at Leeds, while Chris Casement's Hamilton weren't in action.
