McGinn Linked With Town, Chelsea and Celtic - Ipswich Town News

Town are again being linked with Derry City winger Niall McGinn, however, according to reports in Northern Ireland the Blues would face opposition from Chelsea and Celtic for the 21-year-old's signature should they choose to take their interest further.

McGinn, who was first linked with the Blues in August after a Town scout was spotted watching Derry in action in a match against UCD, has had a hugely impressive season since joining the Candy Stripes from Dungannon Swifts in January.

A Northern Ireland U23 international, McGinn is primarily a right winger but can play on either flank or up front. The Dungannon-born player, also impressive in the GAA sports with Donaghmore and Tyrone U21s.

Chelsea chief scout Frank Arnesen is reported to have watched McGinn in action against Bray Wanderers last weekend.
