Trotter Keen to Extend Stay at Grimsby - Ipswich Town News
Midfielder Liam Trotter says he would like to extend his loan spell with Grimsby when his initial month is up after this weekend's game against Exeter. So far Trotter has made five appearances for the Mariners.
The 20-year-old said: "I'm happy to be playing football, to be honest. If Ipswich want me back and say they are going to play me then, obviously, I'd like to go back.
"But if I'm just going to be returning to play in the reserves then I'll more than happily stay here.
"It's been a good experience for me. It's a different league and a different style of football - very different to what I'm used to. But I've got a lot out of it.
"I'm just surprised we haven't got a win while I've been here. The whole time I've had here, I've never for one moment thought that we are a bad team."
