Mark Burchill's future has yet to be decided as the Scot readies himself to take Marcus Stewart's place against Manchester City on Monday. Town are yet to make any moves to make the deal permanent as other clubs, including West Ham and Derby, line-up to try to buy the Celtic striker.
Burchill came to Town as a loan replacement for the suspended Marcus Stewart after the leading scorer's red card against Leeds. Burchill started two games and scored one goal but since then has spent virtually all his time on the bench. Recently he told the Scottish press that he was "desperate" to rejoin Celtic at the beginning of the season, but now he seems more open about his future.
The Scottish international said: "We will have to wait and see what happens. By now the club knows what I can do, so what happens in the last two games probably won't be a factor. I have enjoyed my time at Ipswich but at the moment I am still a Celtic player, still on loan with Ipswich and my thoughts are just with Ipswich and to the next game. The way things stand at the moment I will be returning to Celtic and will be starting next season with them."
Yesterday Burchill scored one and gained the penalty for the another as Town's reserves lost 6-3 to Charlton.
Town are being reported in the Norwegian press to be watching 20-year-old Magne Hoseth. The midfielder is highly rated in Norway and has won 5 caps at U21/U23 etc and made his full debut against Bulgaria last week as a sub. He currently plays for Molde and has been know to play up front as well as in the midfield.
Town scouts watched him in the Bulgaria game and also in yesterday's 2-0 win over Tromsø in which he was involved in both goals.
