On-loan full-back Moritz Volz says he is finally a true Tractor Boy after having his first drive in a tractor. The Fulham man is with the Blues for the season.
Volz wrote on his website: "It was great fun to be at the wheel and I suppose that makes me a bona fide Tractor Boy now. Although I didn't do a very good job of cutting the grass so I'm not sure the hotel will be letting me out on it again.â€Â
The former Arsenal trainee took the opportunity to swap his famous fold-up bike for the tractor for an interview with Virgin Media.
Volz says he is surprised that former team-mate Gareth Ainsworth has been given the job as caretaker-manager of Town's Saturday opponents QPR: "The guy in charge now, Gareth Ainsworth, I used to play with when I was on loan at Wimbledon a few years back and at that time I could never have imagined he'd be a manager.
"We used to call him "The Wild Thingâ€Â! I'm sure it'll be another tough game, but both of these matches [Charlton and QPR] give us the opportunity to get back in contention for a promotion place which is where we want to be.â€Â
