Wickham Wins England Cap - Ipswich Town News
Contrary to our previous report, academy striker Connor Wickham won his first England U16 cap as a sub during Friday's 1-0 Sky Sports Victory Shield match against Wales.
The FA's website erroneously reported that the Town schoolboy was amongst the unused subs, but he was actually introduced in the 63rd minute.
Wickham won four U17 caps in the summer at the Nordic Tournament in Denmark in which England annually field an U16 squad despite the competition being for the older age group.
