Murphy Called Up for U19s - Ipswich Town News

Paul Murphy has been called up to the Republic of Ireland U19 squad to play in the UEFA Championship qualifiers in Malta. If selected he'll play against Malta, Liechtenstein and France who were semi-finalists from last season's European Championships. He'll join up with the squad on November 17th.

Murphy currently has two caps for the U19s, playing against Portugal and Ukraine, both ending in 1-0 losses in a four-nations international tournament on home soil in August. Murphy played no part in the 2-0 defeat against Spain.

The full squad is: Kieron Thorp (Crystal Palace), Gerard Hanley (Salthill Devon), Lanre Oyebanjo (Histon), Niall Walsh (Unattached), Callum Morris (Newcastle Utd), Danny Kelly (Norwich City), Gavin Gunning (Blackburn Rovers), Shane O`Connor (Liverpool), Jamie Devitt (Hull City), James O`Brien (Birmingham City), Kurtis Byrne (Hibernian), Conor Clifford (Chelsea), Damian McCrory (Plymouth Argyle), Ian Daly (Manchester City), Paddy Madden (Bohemians), Michael Collins (Triestina), Darragh McNamara (Drogheda United), Paul Murphy (Ipswich Town), Niall McArdle (Sunderland) and Conor Henderson (Arsenal).
