Charlton Athletic have confirmed that Darren Ambrose has rejoined the Blues on an initial two-month loan with a view to a permanent transfer. TWTD was first to break the news of Ambrose's impending return to Portman Road on Saturday.
Addicks boss Alan Pardew said that the former England U21 international has been allowed to leave to free up some cash at the Valley: "Someone had to be sacrificed to give us the financial room to bring one or two in, and Darren was the option I've taken.â€Â
Town have paid a loan fee for the 24-year-old with more cash payable in January when the deal is set to be made permanent.
Boss Jim Magilton has been chasing Ambrose for more than a year with the former Newcastle man first linked with a return to his first club in November 2007.
