U18s Defeated by Saints - Ipswich Town News
Town's U18s fell to a 2-1 defeat at Southampton on Saturday morning. Irish U17 international striker Ronan Murray scored the Blues' goal from the penalty spot just after half-time.
The Saints had gone in front through Tony Garrod in the 12th minute and Daryl McLean netted the winner with 13 minutes left, after the home side had been reduced to 10 men when Kayne McLaggon was red-carded for a foul on Luke Hyam. Town's U16s beat the same opposition 2-1.
U18s: Ward, Clemo, Dunbar, Hyam (Eastman), Watson, Ainsley (Griffiths), Lambe, Cawley, Murray, Wickham and Daniels (Clark). Unused: Ralph and Meekings.
