Wickham Scores First England Goal - Ipswich Town News
Academy striker Connor Wickham scored his first England U16s goal as a 2-0 win against Wales at Sincil Bank, Lincoln took his side to the Sky Sports Victory Shield.
Wickham, who was winning his second cap at U16 level, scored England's second goal just after the break, tapping in the rebound after Andre Wisdom's shot had been saved.
The 15-year-old, who impressed throughout, was subbed in the 64th minute.
Elsewhere, Dean Bowditch wasn't involved for Brentford as they lost their FA Cup second round tie at Barrow 2-1. Despite Town giving permission for the on-loan frontman to play in the competition, the Bees failed to register the Town striker in time for the Friday evening match.
