Walters Could Be Back for Norwich Clash - Ipswich Town News

Key man Jon Walters could be ready for a return to the first team in time for Sunday's East Anglian derby at Carrow Road. Walters missed Saturday's 1-1 draw with Sheffield United due to various injuries, including a hamstring problem.

Physio Matt Byard told the club site: "Jon has complained of soreness in two or three areas and we are covering all bases by treating each one.

"The focus of our attention though is his back. These type of injuries are never easy to pinpoint, but we feel that it's relative to the back area.

"He's been scanned and we are hoping that the problem will settle down over the next few days. He should be back in light training after that and then we are looking at him stepping up to full training on Friday and Saturday in time for the Norwich match."
