Fab in Catwalk Action - Ipswich Town News

Testimonial star Fabian Wilnis is in catwalk action at the Liquid nightclub in town on Wednesday evening. Fab's testimonial calendar is currently on sale via TWTD.

Fab told us: "This Wednesday I'm doing a charity fashion show at Liquid for an agency called Model Gateway. It's all professional models but they also asked me to come along as well. I'll be the only non-professional. It's open to the public from 8pm and it's only a tenner to get in.”

The former Town defender, now playing for Grays Athletic in the Blue Square Premier, says the idea behind the calendar was to produce something unique for his testimonial year: "When the club offered me the testimonial, I had a chat with sales and marketing director Andrew Goulborn, club secretary Sally Webb and chief executive Derek Bowden, and after the meeting Sally said that a lot of players when they have a testimonial produce a collectors' item, Bam Bam did a DVD and Simon Milton a brochure.

"She said she thought a calendar would be really nice, and I thought ‘OK, OK, not too bad an idea'. Sally and my wife in particular were very enthusiastic about it and the more I thought about it and the more we talked about it with my committee the more I liked it, so we decided to go for it, and it's sold very well.

"The calendar's about showing different sides to my life. There's a modelling photo and there are obviously three football photos and then you've got me coaching, me on rollerskates, a little bit of posing with the car, with my children and also one daring one!”

Thursday is the last posting day to guarantee delivery before Christmas, so order your calendar (and other Town-related presents) now via TWTD's Christmas List.
