McAuley Should Be Fine for Coventry - Ipswich Town News
Skipper Gareth McAuley says he should be fine for Saturday's trip to Coventry, despite injuring his shin and picking up a black eye during the 2-1 defeat to Cardiff City. McAuley ended the first half hobbling after colliding with a post as he cleared the ball off the line.
The Northern Irish international told the club site: "I'm confident I will be OK for the weekend. I was patched up by the medical team at half-time with a lot of strapping and we were going to see how it went for the first five or 10 minutes, but it was OK in the second half.
"My shin is still sore and I haven't trained, but it's improving and I'm pretty sure I will be fine for the Coventry match."
