Bowditch May Stay With Brentford - Ipswich Town News

On-loan striker Dean Bowditch says he could stay with Brentford after his current spell is up at the end of the year. The 22-year-old has made four starts and one sub appearance for the Bees, scoring once.

The striker said: "I'd be willing to stay longer if the circumstances are right. If I'm not going to go back and play, I'd love to stay. Brentford's a good club.

"My contract's up at the end of the season, but I don't know what's going to happen then either.

"But my main aim is to play football at a higher level, and the whole point of coming here's to get games under my belt and get some goals."

Meanwhile, second choice keeper Shane Supple, also out of contract in the summer, says he would also favour going out on loan in January to gain experience, having made only one Carling Cup appearance so far this season: "I don't want to leave here, I love this club, but obviously I want to play games, so may be a loan in January might come into the equation if the gaffer sanctions it.”

The Irish U21 international also played down the significance of the meeting prior to the Norwich game and says there is no split in the camp: "It was another meeting for me. There is no problem in the dressing room. It is a good group of lads who get on really well.”
