Town Draw Chelsea or Southend - Ipswich Town News
Town will play Chelsea or Southend United away in the fourth round of the FA Cup. The sides drew 1-1 at Stamford Bridge yesterday, Peter Clarke netting a last minute equaliser for the Shrimpers after Salomon Kalou had put the Premier League side in front.
The replay at Roots Hall is on Wednesday, 14th January with the fourth round tie on the weekend of 24th January.
Town last faced Chelsea in an FA Cup tie at the fourth round stage in 1972/73 with the Londoners winning 2-0 at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues have never previously played the League One side in the FA Cup.
