Grimsby Hoping for Trotter Return - Ipswich Town News
Grimsby boss Mike Newell says he is hoping Town midfielder Liam Trotter will return to the Mariners on loan for the second half of the season. Trotter spent three months on loan at Blundell Park before returning to the Blues just before Christmas.
Newell said: "He did really well while he was here and I think he will get better.
"He's one that we will keep an eye on and see if there is anything that we can do.
"My understanding is that we can bring him back on a window-to-window loan."
Trotter, whose Town deal is up at the end of the season, scored two goals in 16 appearances for the Mariners.
