Town Chasing Stockport Pair? - Ipswich Town News
Town are interested in Stockport County goalkeeper Owain Fôn Williams and are also said to be keeping an eye on the League One side's left-back Jimmy McNulty, according to one of this morning's tabloids.
Welsh U21 international Williams joined County from Crewe in the summer have failed to make a senior appearance for the Railwaymen. The 21-year-old has been a regular for County this season. The 6ft 4in tall stopper has also been capped at U19 and U17 levels by Wales.
Town could be on the look-out for another keeper during January with Shane Supple, who is out of contract at the end of the season, expected to go out on loan.
Liverpool-born left-back McNulty moved to Edgley Park last January from Macclesfield Town. The 23-year-old had been at Moss Rose since 2006, having previously spent two years with Caernarfon Town. Between 2003 and 2004 the 6ft 2in tall defender was with Wrexham, during which time he went on loan to Bangor City.
As a youngster, McNulty started with Liverpool's academy but subsequently moved on to Everton's youth set-up.
Also able to play at centre-half, McNulty has been capped by Scotland at U17, U19 and U21 levels.
