Win a Copy of Town Legends Book - Ipswich Town News

TWTD readers have been given the chance to win one of two copies of Mel Henderson's latest book Match of My Life in which 16 Town stars of the past reminisce about their greatest games for the Blues.

Each chapter features a player telling his unique story: Mick Mills, Ray Crawford, Larry Carberry, John Elsworthy, Ted Phillips, Kevin Beattie, John Wark, Allan Hunter, Bryan Hamilton, Trevor Whymark, Alan Brazil, Roger Osborne, Tony Mowbray, Jim Magilton, Jason Dozzell and Jon Walters.

To win a copy of the book, send an email to competition@twtd.co.uk before Friday, 16th January telling us how many goals Trevor Whymark scored in his chosen game, the home leg of the UEFA Cup second round tie against Lazio in October 1973. The winners will be picked at random from the correct answers.

Town returned to second in the Championship as a goal in each half from Jack Clarke saw the Blues to a routine 2-0 victory over Bristol City at Portman Road. Clarke made the breakthrough in the eighth minute, then sealed the victory with his 10th goal of the season 10 minutes after the break to move Town ahead of Middlesbrough having played the same number of games but with the Teessiders in action tomorrow.
