Town Getting Close on Civelli - Ipswich Town News
Town are increasingly close to completing a deal with Club Banfield for left winger Luciano Civelli, according to various reports in Argentina. News of the Blues' interest in the 22-year-old first broke earlier in the week with Town confirming the move on Thursday.
Today's Argentine reports claim the Blues will pay US$800,000 (around £500,000) to Banfield, although previously the price has been reported at US$1.5 million (around £1 million).
Town are again said to be paying for 50% of the player's rights, although there are no details as to precisely what this means or whether it is Banfield or an outside interest which would own the other half of the player. Neither club has as yet commented on the terms of the proposed deal.
Civelli holds an Italian passport so would not be required to apply for a work permit.
