Bosi Was Brazilian Trialist - Ipswich Town News

Brazilian trialist Bruno Bosi is reported to have returned home after spending last week on trial with the Blues. The 21-year-old joined Italian side AC Arezzo from Brazilian club Vasco de Gama after a trial a year ago, but has made little mark with the Lega Pro Prima Divisione (formerly Serie C) side.

A striker according to the Italian media at the time of his move to Arezzo, although said to be a defender in reports here, Bosi is understood to have impressed boss Jim Magilton during his time at Playford Road and could be asked back to take part in a competitive game.

Bosi, who holds and Italian passport, appears to have been released by Arezzo as he is not currently listed in their squad.

Meanwhile, Magilton says he is looking forward to taking on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge: "Saturday gives my players a chance to challenge themselves against some of the best players in the world.

"And I know they are relishing the chance, and it gives me a chance to pit my wits against a former World Cup-winning manager.

"And after our outstanding result at Crystal Palace on Saturday we will make a game of it.”

While Town are yet to sign any first team players during the transfer window, Northern Irish U17 international Josh Carson has agreed to join the academy full-time from next season. Striker Carson played for the Blues U15s at the Galway Cup competition last summer and was named the Player of the Tournament.

Elsewhere, Chesterfield striker Jamie Ward has joined Sheffield United for £330,000. Town were amongst a number of clubs linked with the 22-year-old.
