Civelli On His Way - Ipswich Town News
Argentinian left midfielder Luciano Civelli is set to travel to England in the next few hours to complete his move to Town, according to the latest reports in Argentina. The 22-year-old has left a training camp with Club Banfield to fly to the UK.
Banfield have been training in Mar del Plata while discussions have continued between the clubs, US$1.1 million (nearly £800,000) now reported to be the fee for 50% of the player's rights.
There has still been no confirmation of this aspect of the deal or whether it is Banfield or an outside interest which would own the other half of the player.
Reports yesterday indicated that Banfield had agreed to allow Civelli join the Blues, with the Argentinian club said to have signed all the papers relating to the deal but at the time Town yet to complete the formalities at their end.
