Brentford Want Longer Rhodes Stay - Ipswich Town News
Brentford boss Andy Scott says he is hopeful that Town striker Jordan Rhodes will remain with his club beyond his current one month loan. The 18-year-old scored his first goal for the Bees in last night's 3-0 victory over Aldershot.
Scott said: "It shows what a good player he is that after just one home game everyone's saying we've got to keep him.
"We're hopeful that we can keep him longer. He's destined for bigger and better things."
Elsewhere, former Blue Shefki Kuqi has turned down the offer of a new deal from Crystal Palace. Manager Neil Warnock said: "I asked if he'd take a drop in wages and sign for another 18 months, but he doesn't really want to do that."
