Town Reserves Defeat West Ham - Ipswich Town News

A Town reserves side including a number of trialists defeated West Ham's second string 1-0 in a friendly at Playford Road on Wednesday afternoon. Dan Harding netted the only goal of the game from the edge of the box in the 70th minute.

The Blues again included former Fulham winger Lino Goncalves in their line-up, along with central midfielder Harry Arter from Charlton. Both previously featured in last week's game against Northampton.

Town also brought on 17-year-old Irish goalkeeper Ian McLoughlin for the second half. The Dubliner, currently with youth side St Francis, is set to join the club on a professional contract in the summer with current academy keeper Lewis Ward being released.

Town: Supple (McLoughlin 46), Hyam, Harding, Reason, Richards, Ainsley, Goncalves (Cawley 70), Trotter, Wickham, Lambe (Murray 46) and Arter. Unused: Clemo, Eastman and Dunbar.
