Robinson Extends Stay as Town Eye Exeter Keeper - Ipswich Town News
Rushden and Diamonds have extended Town left-back Kurt Robinson's loan until the end of the season after a successful first month. The 19-year-old has made five appearances for the Blue Square Premier side.
On Sunday, the former England U17 international was in the Rushden team which lost 2-1 to Cambridge United.
Meanwhile, TWTD understands that Town have been watching Exeter City keeper Paul Jones in recent weeks. The 22-year-old, a former Leyton Orient trainee, has been a regular in the Grecians side this season.
Jones, 6ft 1in tall, won caps with the England National Game XI (non-league England side) prior to Exeter's promotion to League Two last season.
The Blues could be on the lookout for a new keeper with manager Jim Magilton recently revealing that the club would like Shane Supple to go out on loan to gain experience before the end of the season.
The Irish U21 international is out of contract in the summer and the Blues could be looking at possible longer term replacements if Supple decides to move on at the end of his present deal. Earlier in the transfer window, Stockport keeper Owain fôn Williams was linked with a move to the Blues.
Town representatives have been spotted at a number of Exeter games this season with midfielder Dean Moxey previously claimed to be the player Town had their eye on.
