New Book on Sir Bobby's Reign at Town - Ipswich Town News
Author Nick Fuller has written a new book on Sir Bobby Robson's time as manager at Portman Road. On the Map – A Fan's View of Sir Bobby Robson and Ipswich Town is available for download in return for a donation to the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation.
The book charts the 13 years of Sir Bobby's reign at Portman Road from a supporter's perspective, but Nick says he has also used other accounts of the era to produce what he hopes is an interesting account of Town's most successful era: "I've tried to mix my personal memories with the facts of the day to produce something which is, I hope, evocative for those of us who were there and informative for those who weren't.â€Â
On the Map â€" A Fan's View of Sir Bobby Robson and Ipswich Town is available for download from Nick's website at no cost, however, he asks that readers make a donation to the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation.
The Sir Bobby Robson Foundation raises money for the detection and treatment of cancer within Sir Bobby's native North East. The Foundation's initial target of £1 million has already been surpassed thanks to the support of Sir Bobby's admirers from all over the UK and Europe.
