Skipper Gareth McAuley scored his first ever international goal for Northern Ireland as they won their World Cup qualifier in San Marino 3-0. McAuley, who was winning his 14th cap, opened the scoring in the fifth minute with a half-volley.
Elsewhere, Veliche Shumulokoski played the first 25 minutes of Macedonia's 1-1 draw with Moldova in Turkey, while Alex Bruce was left out of the Republic of Ireland 18 as they beat Georgia 2-1 in Dublin.
