Five Out to Avoid Bans at Preston - Ipswich Town News
Five Town players will be especially keen to avoid yellow cards at Preston on Saturday, the last match from which a fifth booking leads to a one-match ban. Gareth McAuley, Alex Bruce, Tommy Miller, Jon Stead and Iván Campo are all on four cautions ahead of the end of February deadline.
McAuley, Bruce, Miller and Stead are all probable starters at Deepdale, while Campo isn't likely to be considered for a first team return quite yet after tearing his calf muscle earlier in the year.
After the end of February, players reaching five bookings get merely a warning as to their future conduct from the FA.
Town have no players close to the 10 yellow card mark which leads to a two-match ban.
