Marcus Stewart has not been included in Sven-Goran Eriksson's squad for the friendly with Mexico. The striker was thought to be the most likely Town player to be involved with Richard Wright off for an operation tomorrow.

Squad: David James (Aston Villa), Nigel Martyn (Leeds), David Seaman (Arsenal), Wes Brown (Manchester United), Jamie Carragher (Liverpool), Ashley Cole (Arsenal), Rio Ferdinand (Leeds), Martin Keown (Arsenal), Philip Neville (Manchester United), Chris Powell (Charlton), Gareth Southgate (Aston Villa), David Beckham (Manchester United), Nicky Butt (Manchester United), Michael Carrick (West Ham), Joe Cole (West Ham), Steve Gerrard (Liverpool), Steve McManaman (Real Madrid), Ray Parlour (Arsenal), Paul Scholes (Manchester United), Robbie Fowler (Liverpool), Emile Heskey (Liverpool), Michael Owen (Liverpool), Teddy Sheringham (Manchester United), Alan Smith (Leeds).

The U17s side won the first leg of their FA Premier Academy Play-Off final 5-0. The youngsters made up for the disappointment of missing out on the FA Youth Cup final by taking Newcastle apart.
