Shumi Ready and Waiting - Ipswich Town News

Out-of-favour midfielder Veliche Shumulikoski says he is waiting for his chance of a return to the first team after nine games without a start. The Macedonian international scored a stunning goal in Monday's 2-0 reserves victory at Watford.

Shumulikoski told the club site: "It was important to play a game. I think I showed a good attitude. It would be easy to not be at 100 per cent but I wanted to show that I am ready to play.

"It's frustrating not being in the team at the moment. I train all week but there is no game at the end for me at the moment.

"I have to keep training hard and be professional and wait for my chance and when it comes, I have to make sure I take it.

"I have spoken to the manager and he has said exactly that, I must keep doing what I am doing and take my chance when it comes because in football, it will happen.

"It's the longest time I have been out of the team in my career, nine games, and it's hard. But it's football, it is life. There is a lot of competition for places here and I have to prepare properly and wait."

Meanwhile, Town have rescheduled the reserves game with Luton for March 4th at Playford Road (KO 2pm).
