Thatcher Could Be Back for Wolves - Ipswich Town News

Left-back Ben Thatcher will resume full training over the weekend and could be ready to return to the Town side which travels to Wolves on Tuesday. Thatcher, who spent time on trial at Molineux before joining the Blues last summer, has been out of action with a foot injury and has missed the last two matches.

Physio Matt Byard told the club site: "Ben took a knock and then aggravated it in training but he's made progress this week.

"He's increased his workload and will train fully over the weekend with a view to being ready for the trip to Wolves next week."

Right-back Moritz Volz suffered a recurrence of his groin problem at Preston last week and is set to miss the Wolves game. The loanee from Fulham told his own Volzy.com website that another spell on the sidelines is frustrating: "I'm hoping for the best and that it's just a temporary set-back that will sort itself out pretty soon, but beyond that I can't really say a lot more.

"The first five days after an injury like this are always about waiting for it to settle and then it's about seeing exactly what the problem is and how we go about sorting it. But as I'm sure you can imagine, I'm majorly down given that I thought I was back.”
