Reason and Cambridge Defeat Leaders - Ipswich Town News

On-loan Jai Reason helped his Cambridge United side to a 2-0 victory over Blue Square Premier leaders Burton Albion at the Abbey Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Reason created the second goal by playing Robbie Willmott in one-on-one with the keeper.

The midfielder, whose Town deal is up at the end of the season, has enjoyed a hugely impressive first month with the U's, who are keen to extend his stay.

The victory means Cambridge are now nine points behind Burton, who have two games in hand, and are 10 points ahead of Oxford United in sixth place, the first non-play-off position.

Elsewhere, Jordan Rhodes's Brentford stay top of League Two despite a 0-0 draw at Rotherham. Rhodes played the first 64 minutes before being replaced.

Chris Casement and Wycombe are one place and four points behind the Bees with a game in hand. Today the Chairboys drew 1-1 at home to Chesterfield, Casement coming off in the 58th minute.

Liam Trotter was an 87th minute sub for Scunthorpe as the Iron won 2-1 at home to Stockport. The midfielder is still to make his first start for his latest loan club, having so far made only two late appearances from the bench.

Kurt Robinson picked up a yellow card as his Rushden and Diamonds side drew 1-1 at Torquay, while Dan Harding was again left out of the Reading 16 as the Royals drew 2-2 at Plymouth.
