Walters Out for the Rest of the Season - Ipswich Town News
Midfielder Jon Walters is out for the rest of the season after a scan showed that he ruptured ankle ligaments during Tuesday's 0-0 draw at Wolves. The Irish B international collided with Wolves defender Matt Hill during the first half and limped off soon afterwards.
Physio Matt Byard told the club site: "The scan has shown that Jon has ruptured his ankle ligaments and unfortunately that means he won't play again this season.
"The plan now is to take specialist advice to see the cause of action from here, but surgery is obviously a possibility.
"We will be guided by the specialist and also to Jon to see what the best way forward is in his recovery, but I can see his rehab continuing into the summer."
