Rhodes Nets Again But Honours Even - Ipswich Town News

Honours were even as two of Town's on-loan players met in a top of the table League Two clash on Saturday afternoon. Jordan Rhodes was on the scoresheet for leaders Brentford as they drew 3-3 with Chris Casement's second-placed Wycombe Wanderers at Griffin Park.

Rhodes netted his goal in the opening minute, stabbing in from a corner nodded down by team-mate Alan Bennett. Casement played the full 90 minutes for his temporary side.

Elsewhere, Liam Trotter was used as an 89th minute sub as Scunthorpe drew 1-1 at Carlisle. Trotter is still to make anything other than a late sub appearance for the Iron.

In the Blue Square Premier, Jai Reason continued his stunning form for Cambridge and was given a standing ovation as he left the field in the 75th minute as the U's defeated Northwich 4-1 at the Abbey Stadium.

Leaders Burton Albion's defeat to Salisbury means that Cambridge are now only five points behind the Brewers, although having played two more games.

Kurt Robinson was in the Rushden and Diamonds side which drew 0-0 at Crawley.
