Jordan Rhodes limped off with an injured leg just after half-time as Brentford fell to a 1-0 home defeat to Chesterfield. The extent of the injury is not yet known.
Elsewhere, Liam Trotter was an 80th minute sub as Scunthorpe beat Hereford 3-0 at Glanford Park.
Jai Reason picked up a yellow card as Cambridge United continued their winning run with a 2-0 victory over Barrow. Reason is still to taste defeat during his nine-game spell with the U's.
Dan Harding was again left out of the Reading 16 as they defeated Doncaster 1-0, while Chris Casement's Wycombe and Kurt Robinson's Rushden weren't in action. Shane Supple joins Oldham on Wednesday.
