Rhodes Expected to Be Out for a Month - Ipswich Town News

On-loan striker Jordan Rhodes is expected to be out of action for around a month after limping off with an ankle injury during Brentford's 1-0 home defeat to Chesterfield last night. Rhodes is due to remain with the Bees until April 25th.

Brentford boss Andy Scott said: "It looks pretty bad, so we'll assess that and see how it is, but it will be a blow."

Rhodes, 19, has scored seven goals in 14 games since moving to Griffin Park in January. Earlier in the season, fellow Blue Dean Bowditch spent time with the Bees.

Meanwhile, former Town boss Joe Royle was at last night's Cheltenham-Tranmere game reportedly looking at ex-Blue Ian Westlake. The midfielder is with Cheltenham until the end of the season having left Leeds by mutual consent in January.

Royle has already signed Shane Supple on loan from Town and may well look at adding one or two more of his former charges to his Oldham squad with Billy Clarke and Matt Richards amongst those currently a long way from a first team start at Portman Road and out of contract at the end of the season.
