Rhodes Unlikely to Play Again This Season - Ipswich Town News

On-loan striker Jordan Rhodes is now considered very unlikely to play again this season after breaking a metatarsal in Brentford's 1-0 home defeat to Chesterfield last night.

Initially the Bees had thought the 19-year-old would be out for a month, but x-rays have shown the problem is worse than had been hoped.

Physio Matt Byard told the club site: "Jordan has had x-rays and they have shown a break to his fifth metatarsal.

"With that sort of injury you are looking a recovery period of at least six weeks and that's a real minimum, so it's fair to say it's very unlikely that he will play again this season."

Rhodes scored seven goals in 14 games for Brentford, who are currently top of League Two.
