Bialkowski Joins Up With Town - Ipswich Town News

New loan signing Bartosz Bialkowski trained with the Town squad for the first time today having joined the Blues on loan from Southampton. The Polish U21 cap was reunited with Richard Wright and John Gorman, who were with him at St Mary's last season.

Bialkowski told the club site: "I was at Southampton last season when Richard came down there on loan and it's good to be back working with him again.

"He is as great goalkeeper and a great guy. I am looking forward to working with him and learning from him on the training field. He is a very experienced keeper and training with him every day can only help my own game.

"I will train hard and push Wrighty all the way, but I know he is a top goalkeeper. If I am needed, I will be ready. We will see what happens.

"I also know John Gorman from our time together at Southampton. It was John who contacted the club about me coming here and it was an easy decision for me to make.

"I know about Ipswich. I have been to the stadium a couple of times with the Southampton team and been on the bench. The club is pushing hard to get in the play-offs and I'm here to help in whatever way I can. It's a good opportunity for me."

Meanwhile, assistant boss Gorman says there is a chance Jon Walters could return to action before the end of the season despite rupturing ankle ligaments against Wolves last week: "Jon is a very positive lad who heals quickly so there is a chance he could play a couple of games this season.

"I'm not saying he definitely will but knowing him I would say he has a chance.”

Elsewhere, former Blue Sylvain Legwinski has been linked with the vacant manager's job at St Neots Town.
