Civelli Frustrated By Injury - Ipswich Town News

Midfielder Luciano Civelli says it's hard facing up to several months on the sidelines with injury after playing only eight games for the Blues. The Argentinian is out for the season with knee ligament damage.

Civelli will learn precisely how long he'll be out for after he has undergone surgery and says the injury is a big blow: "It's very hard for me at the moment. I have only played eight games and now I will be out for a long time.

"It's the first injury I have had and I know it is a bad one. I felt the pain straight away. I have to wait now and see what happens when they do the operation and then I will know how long I will be out.

"The only good thing is that it has happened near the end of the season so I will miss less football than if it happened at the start, but it's still very disappointing because I was enjoying playing for Ipswich and wanted to help the team get in the play-offs.

"I have been down the training ground every day to talk to my team-mates but hopefully when the operation is finished, I will be able to go home to Argentina for a while before I start my recovery."
