Clarke Confirms Town Exit - Ipswich Town News

Striker Billy Clarke has confirmed that Town will not be offering him new terms when his current deal is up at the end of the season. Clarke, 21, is on loan at Brentford until the end of the season.

The Cork-born frontman says he is looking to net the goals which will see the Bees into League One: "I've been on loan at Darlington and Northampton this season and scored quite a few goals. I have confidence in my own ability, and think I can score some goals to help get us promoted.

"My contract's up at Ipswich this summer, but I'm not getting offered anything there. Hopefully I can get myself sorted somewhere between now and the end of the season.

"Coming to Brentford permanently would be something I have to think about very seriously."

The Football League emergency loan window closes at 5pm today with Town appearing unlikely to add to their ranks, although the likes of Matt Richards or Jaime Peters could move on last minute loans.

Meanwhile, Hartlepool will be training at Playford Road ahead of their League One match at Southend on Friday.
