McAuley Wins Cap as Northern Ireland Win - Ipswich Town News

Town skipper Gareth McAuley won his 15th full Northern Irish cap on Saturday as his side beat Poland 3-2 at Windsor Park in a World Cup qualifier. McAuley was employed in his usual right-back role as Northern Ireland went top of their group.

The Northern Irish take on Slovenia on Wednesday, also at Windsor Park.

Elsewhere, Alex Bruce was left out of the Republic of Ireland's 18 for their World Cup qualifier against Bulgaria. The Republic take on Italy in Bari on Wednesday.
