Dos Santos Out of Mexico's Trip to Honduras - Ipswich Town News
Loanee Giovani Dos Santos is on his way back to the Blues after being ruled out of Mexico's World Cup qualifier in Honduras on Wednesday due to the groin injury he suffered while playing for Town against Watford.
Néstor De la Torre, Mexico's director of the Commission for National Teams, says that the Spurs man's injury has not progressed as had been hoped: "After having some aches last week, he couldn't recover properly, so we decided he won't go to Honduras. Instead, he will return to London because we don't want him to get a worse injury.â€Â
Dos Santos's lack of fitness for Mexico's game would suggest that the 19-year-old is likely to be a big doubt for Saturday's game at Sheffield United and almost certainly means he won't be in the starting line-up.
