Town Waiting on Tottenham - Ipswich Town News
Town are waiting to hear from Tottenham whether loanee Giovani Dos Santos will be available for Saturday's game at Sheffield United. The 19-year-old was ruled out of Mexico's World Cup qualifier with Honduras yesterday due to his groin injury.
Physio Matt Byard told the club site that the striker or midfielder's fitness will be evaluated by Spurs before he returns to the Blues: "Giovani trained on Friday and Saturday but his groin was still niggling him a little bit.
"Mexico didn't want to risk him for their game tomorrow, so he's going back to Tottenham to be assessed.
"Obviously, if he's OK, we'd like to get him back training on Thursday or Friday and take it from there, but it will be all down to what Tottenham say."
