Daniels Confirms Histon Move - Ipswich Town News
Released academy midfielder Matt Daniels has confirmed that he has joined Blue Square Premier play-off contenders Histon, as revealed by TWTD yesterday. Daniels has been given a contract until the end of the season with a view to him winning a longer term deal.
Daniels said: "It's a great set-up at Ipswich. I've been taught a lot in those two-and-a-half years and learned from the great staff and players that are there. Hopefully I can put all that into place at Histon."
Meanwhile, a row about who would fund repairs to the Portman Road pitch after a proposed summer concert is reported to have put the idea on hold.
TWTD understands that on Friday various club employees were told the gig, which is reported to involve US veteran rockers The Eagles, was off. A report today says that a disagreement between the club and the promoters over the pitch repairs was what caused talks to break down.
