Rhodes Wins Award - Ipswich Town News

Town's Jordan Rhodes has been named the PFA Fans' League Two Player of the Month for March for his performances for Brentford before he sustained a season-ending broken metatarsal.

The 19-year-old received the most votes from supporters and beat fellow nominees Adam Le Fondre (Rochdale), Andy Bishop (Bury) and Simeon Jackson (Gillingham). The other divisional awards went to Aaron Lennon (Tottenham Hotspur), Marcus Tudgay (Sheffield Wednesday) and Jermaine Beckford (Leeds United).

Rhodes scored seven goals in 14 games for the top-of-the-table Bees prior to picking up his injury.

Meanwhile, Ed Upson played the full 90 minutes for Leyton Orient's reserves yesterday as they beat Northampton 2-1 at Brisbane Road. Upson, out of contract with Town at the end of the season, is currently on trial with the O's.
