Jim Confirms Clarke Exit - Ipswich Town News
Boss Jim Magilton has confirmed that striker Billy Clarke will be released by Town at the end of the season when his contract is up. The Irish U21 international, currently on loan at Brentford, recently revealed that he would be leaving Portman Road at the end of the season.
Magilton said: "I think Billy needs to play regular football and I can't guarantee that. I think a fresh start is what he needs."
Clarke was a member of the 2005 FA Youth Cup-winning squad but missed both legs of the final due to an injury sustained during the semi-final.
