Town to Release Robinson - Ipswich Town News

Rushden and Diamonds boss Justin Edinburgh has confirmed that left-back Kurt Robinson will be released by Town at the end of the season. The former Spurs man is keen to keep the 19-year-old at Nene Park, where he has been on loan since January.

Edinburgh said: "I'd like to keep Robinson, who has been told by Jim Magilton that he will be released from Ipswich.

"He loves this club and feels settled. Hopefully, we can conclude something with him sooner rather than later."

Town have already confirmed that striker Billy Clarke will be released, while Cambridge revealed that Jai Reason will also be made available by the Blues.

Midfielder Ed Upson, currently on trial at Leyton Orient, will also end his time at Town, while Chris Casement and Dean Bowditch also appear certain to leave Portman Road.

Elsewhere, former Town loanee David Unsworth has retired from playing at the age of 35 after leaving Huddersfield.
