2000 New Season Tickets - Ipswich Town News

Town have announced 2,000 new season tickets for next season. Those with Waiting List numbers between 1 and 2,000 will get tickets with a further 2,000 or so having to wait longer for season tickets.

The 2,000 new season ticket holders will receive season ticket application forms in the next two weeks.

The new season tickets are situated all around the ground and will begin from the first game of the season. It had been thought that new season tickets wouldn't be issued until after the lower tier of the North Stand was complete. Seemingly there are enough seats available from non-renewing existing season ticket holders to give the first two thousand on the list tickets.

It is also expected that there will be more season tickets issued as the new North Stand progresses. The lower tier is expected to be finished in late September or October.

Those unlucky fans will get the opportunity to join the ballot which is once again being run. Brochures with application forms will go out to all existing members at the end of May.

The club's Communications Director Alesha Gooderham said: "Clearly many supporters on the Waiting List are eager to find out if they have been successful and whilst issuing new season tickets is incredibly important is it vital that tickets remain available in the ballot for those supporters who are not in a position to come every match but are keen Town fans. The process this season is obviously more complicated with the various stadium works taking place but the patience and support that our season ticket holders have shown has been very much appreciated by the club."

Former Town striker Chris Kiwomya has been released by QPR. Kiwomya was one of the stars of Tiwn's 91/92 season, but has since scored as many goals as possible against the Blues.

Crisis hit Rangers released 15 players today.
