Helstad Linked Again - Ipswich Town News

Town are again being linked with Brann Bergen's Norwegian international forward Thorstein Helstad. The 24-year-old has played six times for his country and scored 18 goals this season.

Town, Sunderland and Celtic are said to be in the chase for the £5 million rated striker. We're not convinced we'd spend this on another striker, but we've been wrong before.

Also on the transfer front former loanee Mark Burchill is being linked with a move to Wolves. The Scot spent a three month period at Town but didn't impress enough to get a permanent move to Portman Road.

TWTD is paying tribute to the events of one year ago today. On May 29th 2000 we trooped off to Wembley to watch Town get promoted to the Premiership. Read the reports, inspect the photos and remember the goals at http://www.twtd.co.uk/play-offs

Mick Lambert is the current Do You Remember? star. The sub at Wembley was also a Twelfth Man in a Test Match at Lord's, but what do you recall of his Town career? Click the link on the Message Board: http://www.twtd.co.uk/messages
