Town Win Fair Play League - Ipswich Town News
As expected Town have won the FA Premiership Fair Play League. This would have meant that Town went into a ballot in which they could have won a UEFA Cup place. Now, with Town and second placed Manchester United both already in Europe, Newcastle go into the hat.
Town received just 33 yellow cards during last season's efforts and two red. Both these were highly dubious and Town could have won the League by an even greater margin.
Town boss George Burley has refuted another link. Colin Healy from Celtic is seemingly not a Town target despite the rumour being one which has hung around for a little while.
George is continuing to repeat his line that he is hoping to make new signings in the "next few weeks".
Meanwhile Hassan Kachloul, a long-time target of Town, is also said to be a target of Aston Villa and Newcastle. Town and Spurs are already rumoured to be interested in signing the Moroccan on a Bosman.
